The Denmark Football Club (Magpies) is an Australian Rules Football Club that was originally formed in 1959.
The Club is based in the town of Denmark, which has a population of just over 5,500 and is located on the south coast of Western Australia, approximately 50 kms west of Albany and 400 kms south of Perth.
The Club went into recession in 1986 and again in 1991 to 1997, rejoining the local competition again in 1998 as the Denmark-Walpole Giants, then in 2009 the Kojonup Football Club left the GSFL so the Denmark Walpole Football Club regained its Black and White Strip and returned to the Magpies.
The Denmark-Walpole Football Club plays its home games at McLean Park, Denmark and has a strong focus on youth involvement and development. The Club has taken significant steps to ensure it is a family-friendly club and is always looking for new players, supporters and volunteers of all backgrounds and skill levels.
The Club was awarded the Western Australia Good Sports Club of the Year Award in 2014 - recognising the Club's commitment to managing alcohol in a reponsible manner while promoting and providing a family-friendly club environment.
The club has been successful in winning the premiership flag in 1978 and 2010.
